Blood is thicker than water. Some products carry a true story of origin, family, and tradition. Our new extra virgin olive oil, under the Casa Gomez label, is just such a product.
No mass production, no anonymous chain, but one orchard, one family and one goal: to make pure Spanish olive oil as it was intended.
Where it begins: Prados de Armijo
Our Gomez family originates from Prados de Armijo, a small village in southern Spain and my father's birthplace. In the Sierra de Segura, a rugged natural area brimming with character, lie my aunt Valeriana's family orchards. My family has cared for these trees for generations.

These olive trees receive no irrigation or artificial help. They thrive on rainwater, sunlight, and mountain air. Nature dictates the rhythm; we simply follow. This results in olives that capture the pure character of their environment, something you'll immediately taste in the oil.

The harvest: a new generation takes the lead
My nephew Pedro José represents the next generation in our family. On a crisp morning, before the sun even touched the hills, he set out to harvest. Not randomly, but purposefully: he chose the trees that were healthy and strong, with olives ready to make a high-quality oil.

The picking was done with care and respect for the tree. No rush, no large-scale machinery that could compromise quality. The scent of leaves, the coolness of the ground, and the peace of the early morning: this is the reality of a family proud of what they produce.

From olive to oil
Immediately after harvest, the olives were transported to the certified Oro Tradicional SL press. There, they were cold-pressed under optimal conditions. This fast, careful process is essential for creating a top-quality oil. Extra virgin olive oil is defined not only by flavor, but primarily by how carefully and quickly the olives are processed.
Pedro José stayed with the process, not because he had to, but because this was his harvest. His work, his care. Not bulk, but artisanal production in small quantities.

After pressing, the oil was bottled and given the label that we designed ourselves with close friends: Casa Gomez .
It's more than a label; it's our signature and the symbol of our family history.
Very low acidity: 0.13
Quality can be tasted, but also measured. Our oil has been laboratory-tested and easily meets the requirements for extra virgin olive oil. But one figure stands out: 0.13 acidity .

For comparison, anything below 0.8 can be called extra virgin. At 0.13, this oil has an extremely low purity level, placing it in the purest category. Such a result is only achieved when the olives are perfectly healthy, processed immediately, and not damaged during harvest. This signifies freshness, craftsmanship, and top quality – exactly what Casa Gomez stands for.

The taste: fresh, peppery and creamy
The flavor of this oil reflects the mountain environment in which the olives were grown. Expect a fresh and powerful profile, with a slight pepperiness at the back of the throat—a sign of high antioxidant and polyphenol content. At the same time, the oil remains soft and round in texture.
Perfect for bread, roasted vegetables, a salad, or simply straight from the spoon. This isn't an oil you use for frying, but one you savor attentively, like a fine wine.
Why we do this
We could have chosen an existing oil and slapped our own label on it, but that's not what Casa Gomez is all about. This project is about authenticity and ownership. About honoring our roots and sharing something personal, as well as the natural pride my family in Spain takes in what Casa Gomez stands for.
Casa Gomez stands for uncompromising quality and a family history that runs through every bottle. In a world of mass production, we want to show that a product with character and a story is still possible: oil that begins in a family orchard, with the hands that pick the olives themselves, and with a village where our history lies.
The first edition
The first bottling was deliberately kept small: a limited edition for those who appreciate true quality. No supermarket shelves, but kitchens where flavor matters. Buyers of a bottle receive not just oil, but a piece of landscape, a family bond, and a remarkably pure taste experience.
We're proud of the final result and the process that led up to it. From the olive trees that have endured for generations to the careful harvest by my nephew and the artisanal pressing: every step tells a story. We hope you feel that when you open a bottle of Casa Gomez.
This is olive oil with roots. With a story that goes beyond taste. From our family in the Sierra de Segura to your kitchen.
