About Cuac
The youth of the creators of CUAC was spent among olive trees, sunshine, and the mountains of the Sierras de Cazorla. A spring at the top of the highest mountain in the area, the Yelmo, filled the lake where ducks lived with water. This is where the inspiration for the name of their farm and their Extra Virgin Olive Oil comes from: CUAC.
CUAC EVOO reflects childhood memories and a passion for an age-old craft. The rubber duck, a symbol of childhood sentiment, returns in the form of CUAC Extra Virgin Olive Oil: a unique oil with a personal story.
Where does Cuac come from? The olive groves in the mountains: the treasure of Sierra de Cazorla
The olive groves in mountainous areas of the Sierra de Cazorla are more labor-intensive to cultivate and harvest and yield less than those of large estates. On the other hand, the compact fruits produce an extra virgin olive oil that is among the most valued in the world in tastings.
Cuac's olive trees, which are over 50 years old, are located in the heart of the Cazorla, Segura y Las Villas National Park, in the province of Jaén.
This province has the highest concentration of olive groves in the world and is renowned for the exceptional quality of its olive oil.
What makes this olive oil exceptionally good quality?
Cuac is produced according to the strict quality controls of the D.O. Sierra de Cazorla, one of the most prestigious regions in the world for olive oil production.
In the production of Cuac, nocturnal harvesting and processing within less than 8 hours are combined with a first pressing. This gives Cuac's extra virgin olive oils unique organoleptic and antioxidant properties, making the innovative appearance of the packaging secondary to the quality.
About the Picual olive
This Picual olive oil is made from the Picual olive, a distinctive olive variety found mainly in Andalusia and particularly in the province of Jaén. Picual is known for fresh green aromas and a pleasant combination of bitterness and spiciness. Depending on the harvesting time, notes of fresh grass, olive leaf, tomato plant, and green almond may emerge.
Picual olives naturally contain relatively high levels of polyphenols and antioxidants. These contribute to the distinct flavor and the oil's good stability. Cuac Picual stands out for the high quality of the oil and its striking bottle. This olive oil is particularly suitable for dipping bread or for salads.
