A piece of crusty bread, a drizzle of good extra virgin olive oil, and a pinch of sea salt. Sometimes, that’s all you need. Simple dishes are exactly where the ingredients make the difference.
At Casa Gomez, it’s all about enjoying Spanish flavors. That is why I have expanded our range with SAL de IBIZA: sea salt from the island of Ibiza, available in three different varieties. From pure salt for daily cooking to fleur de sel for the final touch and a colorful version with flowers.
Sea salt from Ibiza, formed by sun and wind
Ibiza is known for its bays and Mediterranean atmosphere, but salt extraction is also part of the island’s heritage. SAL de IBIZA sea salt comes from the salt pans of Ibiza. Sun and wind cause the seawater to evaporate, leaving the salt behind.
That origin fits perfectly with the cuisine we love at Casa Gomez: high-quality ingredients, simple preparations, and a focus on flavor. A salad of ripe tomatoes or a bowl of roasted vegetables often requires very little extra.
Which variety you choose depends primarily on how you intend to use the salt.
Granito Pur: pure sea salt for daily cooking
Looking for a versatile sea salt for your kitchen? SAL de IBIZA Granito Pur consists of 100% untreated sea salt, with no additives or anti-caking agents.
Granito means ‘little grain’. The salt is slightly coarser than regular table salt, which allows it to remain easy to pour without the need for anti-caking agents. The 250-gram shaker is convenient for use while cooking and at the table.
Use Granito Pur for things like:
- Oven-roasted potatoes with rosemary and olive oil.
- Grilled zucchini, eggplant, or bell peppers.
- Fish or meat from the barbecue.
- A homemade dressing with olive oil and lemon.
My tip: toss potato wedges with extra virgin olive oil for cooking, rosemary, and a little Granito Pur. Roast them until golden brown and serve with grilled vegetables. A simple side dish that doesn't need much else.

Fleur de Sel: a refined finishing touch
SAL de IBIZA Fleur de Sel is hand-harvested sea salt with a mild, fresh taste. In Spain, this is also called flor de sal: the flower of the salt.
This is the jar you reach for once your dish is ready. A little bit over roasted vegetables, grilled fish, or a tomato salad provides the perfect final touch. By adding it at the table or just before serving, you can easily control the seasoning.
The Fleur de Sel comes in a 150-gram ceramic jar, sealed with a natural cork and including a small porcelain spoon. It looks beautiful on the table and makes for a lovely gift.
My tip: serve fresh bread with a small bowl of Spanish extra virgin olive oil and a little Fleur de Sel on the side. Let everyone dip and add salt to their own taste. Delicious as a start to a dinner or with drinks.

Granito con Flores: sea salt with flowers
Want to add something visually special to your dish? SAL de IBIZA Granito con Flores combines sea salt with rose petals, cornflower, marigold, and orange blossom.
The mix consists of approximately 80% sea salt and 20% flowers, providing color and a floral accent. The 75-gram shaker pairs well with dishes that have delicate flavors, such as mozzarella, burrata, and fresh salads.
It is best to add this floral sea salt just before serving so that the petals remain beautifully visible on your plate.
My tip: place burrata on a platter with sliced tomatoes. Add a fruity extra virgin olive oil and sprinkle a little Granito con Flores on top. Serve with crusty bread to soak up every last drop of olive oil and tomato juices.

Which salt suits your kitchen?
The three varieties each have their own place at the table:
- For daily cooking: choose Granito Pur, the pure sea salt in a practical shaker.
- For the final touch: choose Fleur de Sel, for example with bread and olive oil, fish, or vegetables.
- For color and a floral accent: choose Granito con Flores, for example with burrata or a salad.
You don’t have to make a dish complicated to serve something special. Start with good ingredients, taste as you go, and add a small amount of salt.
A flavorful gift with Spanish olive oil
SAL de IBIZA is also a wonderful addition to a culinary gift. Combine the ceramic jar of Fleur de Sel with a bottle of extra virgin olive oil, or surprise a food lover with the colorful Granito con Flores.
It is a gift that the recipient can enjoy right away: for a cozy drink, an elaborate dinner, or simply a delicious meal on a weekday evening.
